The Usos Break Silence On The New Day’s WWE Exit

The Usos have shared a storied feud with The New Day in WWE.

Their rivalry kicked off in 2014, following the formation of The New Day. At the time, Jey and Jimmy Uso were already 4-year veterans in the company and 1-time tag team champions.

When The New Day was formed, it contained three members—Kofi Kingston, Big E, and Xavier Woods. In 2022, E sustained a career-ending injury on SmackDown and has not wrestled since.

They were also a heel faction going up against the babyface duo of The Usos. Their rivalry peaked around 2017, both teams having served as multi-time tag champions.

Their in-ring interactions often saw them take personal swipes at each other, making it difficult for fans to separate kayfabe from possible real-life tensions.

The four wrestlers were also once involved in an infamous rap battle, which transported both teams several levels above other tag teams in the division.

The last match between The New Day and The Usos was fought during the December 15, 2025, episode of Raw, where Jey and Jimmy defeated Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.

The Usos React To The New Day’s WWE Departure

Post-WrestleMania, WWE has released more than 20 wrestlers whose contracts either ended or were about to end.

On Saturday, Bodyslam and Fightful reported that both Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods had decided to mutually part ways with the Stamford-based wrestling company.

It marked the end of a two-decade run in the promotion for Kofi Kingston and 16 years for Woods.

They last teamed up on the January 26 episode of Monday Night Raw, losing to the Alpha Academy in a four-way match, which also featured American Made and Los Americanos to determine the #1 Contenders for the tag titles.

The Usos, who have shared a mutual respect with The New Day, tweeted their feelings about the latter’s departure from WWE via a tweet on X.

Their departure also leaves Grayson Waller in an uncertain spot on the roster, seeing as he was paired with them since last year despite not being an official member of the faction.
