The Rock Set To Snub Major Non-WWE Event
According to a recent report, The Rock has refused to attend the upcoming major non-WWE event.
The Rock achieved great success in his WWE career years ago and is considered a legend in the pro wrestling industry. He also transitioned to acting and became a mega star in Hollywood as well. The Great One has also invested in multiple business ventures and is on the TKO board of directors. The TKO group is the parent company of major promotions like the WWE and UFC.
On June 14, UFC will be holding the major Freedom 250 event at the White House in Washington, D.C. According to Time Magazine, The Rock was invited to the upcoming event by the UFC President, Dana White, along with many other celebrities.
Meanwhile, Vanity Fair has followed up on Time Magazine’s report and reported that The Rock will not be attending the UFC Freedom 250 event, according to a source close to him. It was also reported that popular celebrities like Adam Sandler, Jared Leto, and Mario Lopez will not attend the White House event either:
A source close to The Rock tells Vanity Fair that he will not be attending,” Vanity Fair wrote. “Representatives for [Adam] Sandler, [Jared] Leto, and [Mario] Lopez say they won’t be either.
Reps for the others did not respond to multiple requests for comment. The White House and UFC did not respond to requests for comment about the guest list.” [h/t f4wonline.com]
TKO executive has nothing but praise for The Rock
The Rock has been missing from WWE TV since his last appearance at the Elimination Chamber 2025 PLE. The TKO executive, Mark Shapiro was recently asked about the impact of Rock on the TKO group ever since he joined the board of directors in 2024. Shapiro highly praised The Great One while answering:
He’s everything and more. I mean, he really is. And also, he gets back to you like that. Not just because he’s on the board, that’s who he is. I’m not sure he sleeps. He’s an investor, he’s an entrepreneur, he’s an actor. He’s one of the biggest stars in the history of WWE.
He’s an owner in the UFL. He’s just a magnetic personality, and he’s kind of what you see is what you get. He truly cares about his audience in a very real, personal, and meaningful way,” said Shapiro.
While The Rock must be busy with his other ventures right now, it remains to be seen when he will be back on WWE TV.
