Swerve Strickland Breaks Silence On Shocking AEW Dynamite Ending

Swerve Strickland AEW

Swerve Strickland has responded after the shocking end to AEW Dynamite that saw him launch a violent attack on Kenny Omega.

Swerve Strickland and Kenny Omega found themselves in a crowded field alongside Hangman Adam Page and Andrade El Idolo as they all set their sights on a shot at the AEW Men’s World Championship, currently held by MJF.

Adam Page defeated Andrade at Grand Slam Australia to win a mini tournament between the four men and guarantee that he’d be the one to get a shot at the gold at Revolution.

But that didn’t mean Swerve Strickland and Kenny Omega were done with one another. A Revolution match between them had to be scrapped, with them instead meeting in the ring on the February 18th edition of Dynamite. Strickland picked up the win over Omega, but that was not enough.

After the match, Strickland attacked Omega again, driving him through the announce table with a sickening vertebreaker before shouting, “I needed this” into the camera before the show went off the air.

On the following edition of Collision, it was revealed that Swerve Strickland had been fined $100,000 for his actions.

Now Strickland has taken to social media, indicating that his attack on Omega was premeditated. He shared a photo from their previous face-to-face encounter, writing:
