A lawsuit filed by WWE shareholders back in November 2023 has begun receiving traction.

The In re World Wrestling Entertainment Inc Merger Litigation lawsuit had taken a backseat due to other legal matters such as the Janel Grant sexual misconduct lawsuit and the Ring Boys lawsuit.

The merger lawsuit was aimed at Vince McMahon, alleging him of negotiating the promotion’s sale to Endeavor to keep himself in power.

According to Wrestlenomics, former WWE CEO Stephanie McMahon and the current TKO CEO, Ari Emanuel, will be deposed under oath.

While Stephanie McMahon is scheduled for a court appearance on October 24, Ari Emanuel’s testimony date is set for December 2.

As per the report, the Billion Dollar Princess can expect questions about her father’s return to WWE in 2023 and her subsequent resignation from her position in the company.

Reportedly, former WWE Head of Talent Relations, John Laurinitis, has already been questioned by the plaintiffs on September 26.

Other reputable names who have been issued deposition include Paul “Triple H” Levesque (November 4) and Vince McMahon (November 12).

Stephanie McMahon Gets Candid About WWE Exit

In July 2022, Stephanie McMahon was announced as WWE’s chairwoman and co-CEO after Vince McMahon retired amid allegations of sexual assault by a former employee.

However, after serving on the board for nearly six months, she revealed that she had resigned due to her father returning as the company’s chairman.

On an episode of her What’s Your Story? podcast, featuring John Cena, Stephanie McMahon got candid about her WWE exit.

I started going through all this stuff in the company and I realized there is nothing more important to me than my family, than my husband and my kids. And that’s what matters most. And I want to give as much time as I possibly can. I’ve given everything I…I possibly have to the business, you know, and my whole life and I wanted to give back to them. I knew what mattered and I know what matters now.

Elsewhere, Stephanie McMahon was recently revealed as the first inductee of the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame class, but someone from her past called her undeserving of the accolade.
