New Subpoenas Issued In Vince McMahon & WWE Lawsuit

Vince McMahon

The legal issues engulfing WWE and Vince McMahon rumble on with new subpoenas issued in an ongoing lawsuit.

Vince McMahon has been accused of serious sexual abuse and sex trafficking in a lawsuit filed against him and the company by a former WWE employee. However, that is not the only lawsuit both McMahon and WWE are currently battling.

Endeavor completed its takeover of WWE in 2023, but that is the subject of a lawsuit filed by plaintiffs who feel that the proper process was not followed when Vince McMahon allowed his company to be taken over.

Although the sexual abuse lawsuit was not filed until after the takeover, some of the details were known publicly at the time, and the plaintiffs claimed that McMahon facilitated the takeover through his relationship with Endeavor boss Ari Emanuel as the only way of keeping himself in power. As things played out, Vince McMahon was named as TKO Executive Chairman after the takeover, but was forced to resign from that role after sponsors threatened to withdraw their support of WWE after the sexual abuse lawsuit was filed.

Vince McMahon Already Subpoenaed In Lawsuit

Wrestlenomics has given the latest update on the case with Vince McMahon, current top WWE executives Nick Khan and Paul Levesque, and former company executives and board members George Barrios and Michelle Wilson already subject to subpoenas in this lawsuit. And now McMahon’s former personal assistants, brothers Paul and Michael Mangieri, have also been subpoenaed for documents.

It is believed that names such as TKO Chief Financial Officer Andrew Schleimer and former WWE Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis have already been deposed by attorneys acting for the plaintiffs.

This lawsuit is further ahead in its process than the sexual abuse lawsuit facing McMahon and the ring boys lawsuit that is also facing the company.
