Stephanie McMahon Undeserving Of Hall Of Fame, Says Ex-WWE Star
Stephanie McMahon doesn’t warrant a WWE Hall of Fame induction, according to a former wrestler.
There was a surprise announcement during the WWE Wrestlepalooza PLE in Indianapolis. The Undertaker made his entrance on a motorcycle, he made his way ringside and sat next to former WWE executive, Stephanie McMahon.
While seated at ringside, The Undertaker informed Stephanie McMahon that she would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame during WrestleMania weekend in April 2026. Stephanie is the first person to be announced as part of the 2026 WWE Hall of Fame class.
The announcement was a genuine shock to Stephanie, who wasn’t told by her WWE Chief Content Officer husband, Paul “Triple H” Levesque. It is similar to when Triple H found out about his Hall of Fame induction from The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels.
While Stephanie McMahon in the WWE Hall of Fame led to a lot of congratulations, former WWE, TNA & ECW superstar Stevie Richards said on his Stevie Richards Show on YouTube that she didn’t deserve it. Stevie cited Stephanie’s work as a writer that helped lead the creative team in the 2000s when he was with the company.
“Does Stephanie McMahon deserve to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame? No. As a writer, she deserves to never be in the Hall of Fame. I’m serious. That should be in the Hall of Shame.”
As he continued, Stevie spoke about how WWE didn’t want to make Stephanie look weak later in her career.
“Someone started taking her character too seriously, whether it was her, whether it was Vince, or whether it was Triple H, saying, ‘No, you shouldn’t be doing all these things and you should be stronger and more important and more indestructible than everybody else,’ as far as a character point of view.”
During that period, her father, Vince McMahon, was the WWE Chairman who booked the shows, so it was a case of Vince wanting his daughter to be a strong character.
Shane McMahon Deserves Hall Of Fame Spot More Than Stephanie McMahon
Aside from her grandfather Vince McMahon Sr., Stephanie McMahon will be the first member of the McMahon family inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame since her father Vince, mother Linda, and brother Shane are not in it yet.
According to Stevie Richards, Shane McMahon deserves the WWE Hall of Fame recognition more than Stephanie.
“Shane by a mile deserves it more than Stephanie for just the performance and the memorable moments in his matches and how he still could cut a promo. He still did what he did even way back in the Corporate Ministry days.
Shane would deserve it. It’s still enough body of work where Shane deserves to be in the Hall of Fame long before Stephanie. Way before Stephanie.”
It should be noted that Shane is 55 years old, and Stephanie is 49 years old; yet, it is Stephanie who is being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame first.
