Sol Ruca Eyes First-Ever Match Against WWE SmackDown Star
Sol Ruca wants to face a top WWE SmackDown star.
Ruca recently became the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion after defeating Becky Lynch at Clash in Italy in Turin on May 30.
She then had an interview with Netflix UK, where she was asked about her dream opponent. She replied that her dream opponent in WWE was Iyo Sky, but now that she has already faced her, the next dream opponent on her list is Charlotte Flair.
She added that since she performs on Raw and Charlotte performs on SmackDown, it will be a while before they come face-to-face. She said that they had crossed paths in WWE before, but not in a singles match, and hopes to face The Queen one-on-one down the line.
“Now I’ve had my dream match with IYO SKY, I would love to have more with her, now I want to go against Charlotte Flair one-on-one. I know we’re on different brands as of right now. I’ve seen her in the ring a few times, in tag matches, in other multi-person matches, but we’ve never had that one-on-one moment. I think that is my next challenge I want to do.”
Sol Ruca faced IYO SKY in a singles match on the May 11 edition of Monday Night Raw in Knoxville, Tennessee. The Genius of the Sky came out victorious from the bout.
Becky Lynch Blames Referee For Title Loss To Sol Ruca
After Becky Lynch lost her title to Sol Ruca at Clash in Italy, she went online to take out her frustration. She posted a tweet where she blamed referee Jessica Carr for robbing her of her title once again.
Referee Jessica Carr has officiated most of Becky Lynch’s matches in recent months. Whenever misfortune strikes, The Man vents his frustration on Carr, holding her responsible for her shortcomings.
