Becky Lynch is making excuses after losing the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title to Sol Ruca.

For the last year, Becky Lynch has been obsessed with the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title.

Lynch first won the Women’s IC Title from Lyra Valkyria in June 2025, lost it to rising star Maxxine Dupri in November 2025, and then won it back on the first Raw in January 2026.

After losing the Women’s IC Title to AJ Lee at Elimination Chamber in Chicago, Becky Lynch won it back at WrestleMania 42, mainly because Lee has stepped away from WWE, and it’s not known when she might return.

That Women’s IC Title reign only lasted for 42 days for Lynch because Sol Ruca was able to hit the Sol Snatcher at WWE Clash in Italy and win the coveted championship from Lynch.

There was a bit of controversy in the match, which is not uncommon in a Lynch match. It involved referee Jessika Carr yet again because when Lynch was rolling up Dupri for a pin, Carr jumped out of the ring onto the floor, and then back in the ring to make the count. By doing that, Carr didn’t make an immediate count, so Lynch’s pin attempt was more of a delayed pin, which allowed Ruca to kick out.

In a social media post, Lynch tweeted as her heel character and, as usual, blamed Carr for the loss.

“Last night I was once again ROBBED of my title by CROOKED CARR!!!

CLEARLY I had SO SAD SOL pinned for MORE than the count of three when Carr INEXPLICABLY DOVE out of the ring!!!! A TOTAL MESS!!!

I soldiered on but suffered a severe hematoma (my lawyers are looking into ROTTEN RUCA’s footwear. They suspect they’re not regulatory!) Doctors say they’re SHOCKED I was able to continue, but I told them YOU CANT HOLD DOWN THE MAN!!!!”

It’s worth noting that Jessika Carr is a trained wrestler, so the continued issues between Lynch and Carr could lead to a match down the road.

Becky Lynch Has Incredible Advice For Aspiring Wrestlers

When Becky Lynch isn’t being a heel character on WWE television, she’s one of the most beloved and respected women’s wrestlers of all time who will be remembered fondly by fans, but even more so by wrestlers.

While speaking at Bayley’s Lodestone event around WrestleMania 42, Lynch gave some amazing advice to the group of women’s wrestlers at the event, especially for international wrestlers.

“I did what you’re doing, and it was just coming over here and trying to get bookings and hope nobody would go through my luggage.

But I do think the travelling, whether it’s coming here or going to Japan, or Canada, or Europe, I think that is the best way to do it is getting out of your bubble and make sure you’re networking and getting reps, meeting people, doing the work.

It’s a different time now, but we had MySpace back then. It was putting a match up on MySpace, and getting someone to send you the video tapes you might be able to send back to the promoter, but it’s doing what you’re doing, coming out here, meeting people, networking, making sure you’re booked in different promotions.”

Becky Lynch also advised the women to look outside the United States to get more experience in other places.

“I don’t know how to get the Visa thing, especially over in America right now. It’s a little tricky. But this isn’t the only place you can wrestle, and thankfully there’s great promotions for women in Japan and England and all over the world, so keep doing it.

Also, America’s not the be all end all of wrestling. There is Japan, there is Mexico, get those reps there. This, it’s bad right now, it’s not gonna last forever, it is going to change. Hopefully in the next couple of years it’s gonna change, so if you can get those reps; Mexico, Japan while you can and take those risks, there’s a whole world of wrestling beyond just America.”

Becky Lynch and the WWE Raw crew are in Turin, Italy for the June 1st edition of WWE Monday Night Raw.
