Sol Ruca has shared some thoughts after taking the Women’s Intercontinental Title from Becky Lynch.

There were four title matches at WWE Clash in Italy, but only one of those titles changed hands.

Becky Lynch defended the Women’s Intercontinental Title against Sol Ruca in a competitive match, which saw Lynch come close to winning numerous times, but she wasn’t able to put Ruca away. Instead, Ruca kept on fighting and hit a Sol Snatcher for the pinfall win.

In a social media rant, Becky Lynch blamed referee Jessika Carr for costing her the match because Carr was out of position for one of Lynch’s pinfall attempts.

During an interview on the WWE Clash in Italy Recap show, Ruca praised Lynch and claimed she had no hard feelings toward the WWE legend.

“She pretty much founded what we see today with women’s wrestling, and she is absolutely incredible, and I totally get her perspective of these newcomers coming in and getting these opportunities when she’s been doing this and been putting in the work and whatnot.

But times are changing with how NXT is bringing up people, and she is one of the greatest, I’m honored to be in the ring with her.

I have no hard feelings towards her. I know she was a bit hostile towards me, but I get it, she’s got her own perspective, and that’s totally fine.

But at the end of the day, I came out victorious, and I’m thankful that she even agreed to have this match with me. Somewhat agreed, there was a bit of pushback from her, but essentially, we got the match, and I’m thankful for that.” (H/T Wrestletalk)

Sol Ruca Felt Like NXT Prepared Her For WWE Main Roster

When Sol Ruca talked about her WWE journey so far, she told Ringer Wrestling that training at the WWE Performance Center and spending a few years on NXT prepared her for a bigger show like Raw.

“Honestly just being out there in that kind of environment, like out in the ring with that many people, a whole different viewership.

We’re doing pretty much the same things, and NXT has definitely prepared me for this, but we are pretty much starting over in a sense, like this is a whole new ball game. I think that’s probably the biggest change.

Even just being out there for promos and like talking out there. I’m not used to being in that kind of environment, I’m used to the small NXT arena where I know where to look, and now it’s like every week’s different.

So I think that just having a change every single week is pretty different. But it’s definitely manageable and NXT has definitely prepared me for this.”

On WWE Monday Night Raw after Clash in Italy, Sol Ruca gave an in-ring interview in which she talked about winning the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, believing in herself, and thanking the fans for believing in her.

In a backstage segment on Raw, former Women’s IC Champion Lyra Valkyria mentioned she would like a shot at Ruca, and Ruca was open to it because she plans on being a fighting champion. The match hasn’t been announced yet, but it could happen soon.
