Shocking! NXT Takes Dark Turn After Former Champion Is Arrested

Tony D’Angelo returned to NXT after a five-month absence on Deadline last month and has been on a rampage of his own since then. The former North American Champion has been attacking various superstars since returning.

He marked his return by taking out Je’Von Evans following his Iron Survivor Challenge victory. He then laid out Ethan Page on the following episode of the black and silver brand.

D’Angelo even interrupted last week’s no-disqualification match between Joe Hendry and Dion Lennox, attacking both competitors before handing the victory to Hendry.

He didn’t show any signs of slowing down tonight as he laid out the competitors of both NXT Championship qualifiers. He first took out Shiloh Hill and Josh Briggs after their match, leading to Ava calling the authorities.

D’Angelo then took out Sean Legacy and Eli Knight following their match, and was confronted by Ava and the authorities after his actions. He was arrested by them live on television, and he was taken away without any struggle.

The former North American Champion hasn’t yet given a reason for his actions, and it remains to be seen what his actual intentions are following his return.
