Joe Hendry Gets Unlikely Assistance in Wild NXT Main Event
Dion Lennox and Joe Hendry have been embroiled in a heated rivalry on WWE NXT for the last few weeks, stemming from their ambition of winning the NXT Championship.
They were part of the Iron Survivor challenge, but failed to win the match for a shot at the title. They then cost each other in the number one contender’s fatal-four-way as Leon Slater won the match.
During the final NXT of 2025, Joe Hendry was hosting one of his trademark concerts, and was attacked by DarkState, which led to a no disqualification match for this week.
Joe Hendry defeats Dion Lennox in NXT’s main event
Joe Hendry and Dion Lennox main evented the show tonight in an extremly brutal match which saw them use various weapons to their advantage. Hendry had OTM in his corner to counter Lennox’s DarkState.
Both Lennox and Hendry found help from their friends at ringside before a brawl broke out between them and they fought their way to the back, leaving the two alone in the ring.

Lennox put Hendry through a table with a spear and looked to win the match before being taken out by a chair shot from Tony D’Angelo. He followed that up with a one-handed spinebuster to the leader of DarkState.
D’Angelo looked to be on Hendry’s side as he helped him stand up but proceeded to hit him with a one-handed spinebuster as well. He then dragged him into a cover on Lennox, giving Joe Hendry the win, before taking out the security and having a staredown with Ava.
