Seth Rollins Quotes Top AEW Star In Fresh Attack On CM Punk

CM Punk

Seth Rollins will not let CM Punk rest.

Heading into 2024 it was believed that CM Punk was set for a major showdown with Seth Rollins at WrestleMania. The theory went that following a strong showing in the Royal Rumble match, Punk would have gone on to win the Elimination Chamber before facing Rollins in Philadelphia.

However, within minutes of stepping into the ring at the Rumble, Punk suffered a torn triceps while taking a Future Shock DDT from Drew McIntyre. The injury will keep him on the sidelines for around nine months.

Rollins and Punk have been at odds even before the former AEW star returned to WWE, and Rollins is in no mood to let the rivalry fade away.

Speaking to Wrestle Radio Australia ahead of Elimination Chamber, Rollins said Punk had a fragile mind, fragile body, and fragile ego — a reference to Jon Moxley’s own comments about Punk in 2022.

“I mean, I don’t want to say I told you so. But me and a lot of other people told you so. What’s the line? Fragile mind. Fragile body. Fragile ego. I think somebody that I know said something like that about him and it rings true . So look here’s the deal and I told him this in the ring, if you want to find your way to me and the World Heavyweight Championship you’re gonna have to work for it, the deal is he’s gonna have to work a little harder now.”

CM Punk Discusses Mental Toll Of Missing Elimination Chamber

After missing out on Elimination Chamber, CM Punk took to social media to reveal his mental struggles. Punk said that his heart and spirit were in Perth, Australia, adding he’d had a “rough day” having to watch at home.

The men’s Elimination Chamber match was won by Drew McIntyre who will now go on to challenge Seth Rollins at WrestleMania.
