Seth Rollins Breaks Silence On Brock Lesnar’s WWE Royal Rumble Announcement

TJR Wrestling

Brock Lesnar recently announced his entry into the 2026 men’s Royal Rumble match.

The Beast Incarnate’s announcement was out of character, considering most participants announced it on WWE’s flagship show, Raw, or on SmackDown.

Lesnar’s last appearance was at the Survivor Series, where he competed in the men’s WarGames match, teaming up with three members of The Vision and Drew McIntyre.

The 48-year-old’s announcement came via the Pat McAfee Show, when the host called the former WWE Champion during a video call.

During their conversation, Brock Lesnar confirmed that he was entering the 30-man over-the-top-rope match and feeling confident about winning it.

Like Lesnar, Roman Reigns did not personally appear on either show to announce his participation, but a video package on the January 26 episode of Raw confirmed it. Reigns, too, was last seen during the WarGames match at Survivor Series.

Seth Rollins Shares His Thoughts On Brock Lesnar’s Rumble Announcement

Seth Rollins has confirmed that he will not participate in the 2026 Royal Rumble match, owing to an injury he suffered at Crown Jewel in October.

Rollins is currently undergoing rehabilitation with the hopes of returning before WrestleMania.

He recently appeared on ESPN’s Get Up, where he discussed Brock Lesnar’s massive announcement about entering the Royal Rumble match in Saudi Arabia on Saturday.

I mean, look, anytime Lesnar’s in the Royal Rumble, you know, he’s a force to be reckoned with. He is The Beast. His resume speaks for itself. Whether it’s a regular match or a Royal Rumble, I’ve been in the ring with him. It’s no fun. That is the most Brock Lesnar way I’ve ever seen to announce your entry into the Royal Rumble. Didn’t wanna show up for work, don’t wanna leave the farm, just calls in to McAfee and says, “I’m in.” Now, he’s gonna get a jet, go to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and have a good shot at winning the Rumble. Brock Lesnar is a former Royal Rumble winner, having won it in 2003 and 2022.
