Does Roman Reigns Have Legit Heat With Triple H?

Roman Reigns & Triple H WWE

Roman Reigns won big at the 2026 Royal Rumble.

At the Riyadh premium live event, The Original Tribal Chief defeated 29 other participants to win the 30-man over-the-top rope elimination match for the second time in his career.

On the February 2 episode of WWE Raw, he cut a fiery promo, confirming that he would challenge CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42.

In the Women’s Royal Rumble match, Liv Morgan was crowned the Rumble winner for the first time in 9 attempts. After the match, Triple H shared a picture with her backstage as he usually does.

However, no picture with Roman Reigns emerged on his social media account, sparking discussions about tensions between them.

Roman Reigns’ Recent Comments May Have Angered Triple H

Roman Reigns returned to WWE for the first time at the Royal Rumble since November, when he was a part of the men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series.

But a day before that, he appeared on the Pat McAfee Show, where he seemingly took a jibe at the creative team, which is headed by Triple H.

On a recent episode of The Coach & Bro podcast, a user wrote to Jonathan Coachman and Vince Russo speculating about heat between Reigns and Triple H, citing the post-Royal Rumble picture scenario.

Coachman: It’s easy to make that conclusion because whether he (Reigns) was in character or not in character, what he said on Pat McAfee was a direct shot at creative, and Triple H is creative, and the fact that he called out Nick Khan was even more glaring that he didn’t mention Triple H, too, don’t you think?

Russo: Guys, what Roman did was called the Old Vic Venom, and what the Old Vic Venom is is you write a column based on how you really feel, and then you’re called out on it and said, and you say, ‘Vic Venom’s a character.’ Roman meant every word that he said. [55:10 onwards]

Vince Russo used Vic Venom as apseudonym in the mind-90s, when he was the head creative writer with WWE. Under the moniker, he worked for the WWF Magazine and made appearances on WWF Livewire.
