Ricky Steamboat To Be Challenged On AEW Collision

Ricky Steamboat AEW

WWE Hall of Famer Ricky Steamboat is in for a big challenge on AEW Collision.

Ricky Steamboat was the enforcer for the recent bout between CM Punk and Ricky Starks on the August 5th edition of Collision which Punk won. An incensed Ricky Starks took out his frustrations on Steamboat after the match, whipping The Dragon with his own belt.

Tony Khan has now announced on social media that Starks will have Steamboat in his sights once again as he will challenge the legendary star to a Strap Match at All Out on Saturday’s edition of Collision.

Will Ricky Steamboat accept the challenge?

Ricky Steamboat is 70 years old and wrestled what was advertised as his retirement match in November 2022 when he teamed with FTR to defeat Nick Aldis, Jay Lethal, and Brock Anderson.

Ricky Starks’ plans for All Out are believed to have been changed because of the suspension handed out to CM Punk following his backstage altercation with Jack Perry at All In. The belief is that Starks would be taking on Punk once again at the event in Chicago but it remains to be seen if Steamboat will actually be his opponent or if a current AEW star will step in to help the legend.

The confirmed card for All Out is below –

  • Orange Cassidy (c) vs. Jon Moxley – AEW International Championship
