Ricky Starks Match Added To AEW WrestleDream

A match featuring Ricky Starks has been added to the AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view from Seattle.

It has been a rough September for Ricky Starks in terms of facing the great Bryan Danielson in AEW. At the All Out pay-per-view in Chicago, Starks lost to Danielson in a brutal and bloody Strap match that left welts on the bodies of both men.

This past Saturday on AEW Collision, Danielson beat Starks again. This time it was a Texas Death Match that saw Danielson wrap a chain around his knee and hit a running knee strike on Starks to keep him down for the ten count and get the win.

On AEW Dynamite in Broomfield (near Denver), Colorado, a pre-tape promo was shown with Starks and his buddy Big Bill following the match on Collision. While Starks spoke about how tough he was, Wheeler Yuta appeared for the interruption.

Since Wheeler Yuta is in the Blackpool Combat Club group with Bryan Danielson, he mocked Starks for losing to Danielson and noted that while the BCC kicks his ass, Yuta always gets back up. This led to a challenge for a match at WrestleDream this Sunday, October 1st. After the video aired, AEW announced that Starks would face Yuta at AEW WrestleDream.
