Rhea Ripley Denies Shocking Personal Rumor: “That Never Happened”

Rhea Ripley recently clarified some misinformation that has been going around about her.

Rhea Ripley, who was bulkier and more muscular years ago, has since trimmed down significantly.

Her wrestling offence in WWE is a combination of strength and agility, which makes her one of the top performers in the company.

She has consistently been a main-eventer and the top draw for Triple H and Co in WWE’s creative team. Her starkly noticeable body transformation surprised many, but the reported reasons behind it were untrue, according to Ripley.

It was reported that Ripley revealed in an interview that she slimmed down due to back pain caused by her muscle mass. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com questioned this claim via a post on X and attempted to find out the truth, to which Ripley herself replied by confirming that the claims are false.

The original claim read:

Rhea Ripley’s insane body transformation came after she revealed she had to slim down for health reasons, as her muscle mass was causing serious back pain. But a few years ago, her muscular look made her stand out as incredibly badass and unique.

Sean Ross Sapp questioned it by tagging the article on his X post.

I think Rhea should look like whatever she wants to look like, and has performed great without interruption. But can anyone send me the interview where she “revealed” this? I know she did an interview where she mentioned having back pain, but I didn’t see her mention it as a reason she leaned out. It seems like a lot of theorizing based on a Sportster article.

Rhea Ripley responded by calling out the misinformation.

Rhea Ripley Beats Up Jade Cargill’s Cronies, Michin and B-Fab on SmackDown

Rhea Ripley and Jade Cargill’s feud heading into their WWE Women’s Title match at WrestleMania 42 took another turn when IYO SKY, Ripley’s tag team partner, got involved.

SKY attempted to help Ripley last week, but was handed a beating by Cargill instead as Ripley was forced to watch with Michin and B-Fab holding her tight.

Ripley got her revenge by taking out both women backstage this past week on SmackDown. However, Cargill, who wrestled IYO SKY after IYO challenged her to a match when the episode opened, came out on top against the Genius of the Sky.

It remains to be seen how this storyline progresses now that Cargill has gotten the better of Ripley in the past few weeks. A feud that got personal first outside of WWE TV on Twitter/X, later gathered steam slowly, and has now gotten personal in kayfabe as well, with both women getting one-ups on each other’s supporting wrestlers.

WrestleMania 42 takes place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, on the 18th and 19th of April.
