Randy Orton could soon be returning to action according to Kurt Angle, as the Hall of Famer has shared an update on the Third-Generation Superstar.

The Viper has not competed on WWE TV since May 2022 after RK-Bro lost the Raw Tag Team Championships to The Usos.

Orton underwent surgery on his last year and fans had been concerned following the news from his father, “Cowboy” Bob Orton that doctors had advised his son not to return to action.

But it looks like Orton could be returning to action after Olympic Hero Kurt Angle gave a positive update on his former opponent.

Angle was discussing his 2006 Vengeance match with Orton on The Kurt Angle Show, and shared news on The Viper’s recovery.

“Doing good man. He recovered from his back surgery. He’s, I think he’s gonna come back pretty damn soon. He’s doing much better, yes.”

In 2006, Kurt Angle moved to the ECW brand and defeated Orton at One Night Stand, leading to the Vengeance match which saw Orton secure the win.

Randy Orton holds the record for most appearances in WWE Pay Per Views by a Male Superstar and has been a big miss for the company over the last year. Orton has recently been named a “locker room leader” by a former WWE Superstar.

The 14-Time WWE Champion Randy Orton had spent most of 2021 working with Matt Riddle, forming the team RK-Bro and capturing the Raw Tag Team Championship.

It is not clear at this time when Randy Orton will return and if his comeback will see him pick up where he left off in a program with Riddle.

Meanwhile, Kurt Angle has also discussed being uncomfortable in a WWE storyline involving fellow Hall of Famer Edge.
