Matt Riddle Talks Getting More Serious In WWE

Matt Riddle has adopted a carefree attitude in WWE up to this point, but going forward he doesn’t think that will be enough for him.

Riddle returned to WWE recently and has aligned himself with Kevin Owens and Sammy Zayn. Together, the trio will take on both Usos and Solo Sikoa at Backlash.

Because of this major change in storyline direction for him, Matt Riddle doesn’t think he can rest on his laurels and be the same person he was before.

Speaking on a recent episode of WWE’s The Bump, Matt Riddle explained why fans might start seeing a much more serious version of him going forward.

But I think the one thing The Bloodline has showed me and Solo’s showed me that I can’t always be so happy and carefree and go-lucky. If I am, people take advantage of me. It’s just finding that middle ground. I don’t want to be too mean or too angry.

That’s just not a good way to live life. But I also don’t want to be too nice and too giving because then people take advantage. So I just got to find the perfect bro. I don’t want to be a rude dude. You wouldn’t like the rude dude.”

WWE Backlash takes place this Saturday, May 6th.
