Paul Heyman’s Role In Female WWE Star Changing Her Look Revealed
Paul Heyman is a veteran of the wrestling business and an inspiration to many. He is one of the few wrestling personalities who understands the business down to its very core.
WWE SmackDown backstage reporter Cathy Kelley recently sat down for an interview with Chris Van Vliet on his podcast. During the interview, she revealed that she loves to learn new things, so whenever she gets the opportunity, she doesn’t let it slide.
She added that she sits next to Paul Heyman in the Gorilla Position every single week to gain knowledge from him. When the host asked what the best thing she had learned from Paul Heyman to date was, Kelley replied that Heyman has taught her many valuable lessons, so it’s difficult for her to pick just one.

As an example, she recalled a time when she was wearing glasses and had bangs covering part of her face. Heyman told her to get rid of the bangs because they were hiding her eyes. He reasoned that a performer’s eyes are one of the most important tools for showing emotion and connecting with the audience. Kelley added that she has learned a lot from observing and listening to him.
“There are so many lessons I don’t even know where to start. This isn’t the best thing that I’ve learned from him, but when I was wearing glasses and I had cut my bangs, he’s like, ‘You have to get rid of that, because we can’t see your eyes, and your eyes are where you tell your emotion.’ So there’s just a lot of little things that I think he helps so many people backstage, but I picked up from him.” [H/T Chris Van Vliet]
Elsewhere in the interview, Cathy Kelly disclosed that she was diagnosed with autism.
