Paul Heyman Reacts To His WWE Hall Of Fame Speech
Paul Heyman was featured in a WWE vlog showing behind-the-scenes footage from his induction into the Hall of Fame.
The biggest name inducted into the 2024 WWE Hall of Fame class was the “Wise Man” of The Bloodline, Paul Heyman.
After spending 40 years in pro wrestling starting out as a photographer, then becoming a manager, a booker/owner of ECW, a part of the WWE creative team, and of course his role as arguably the greatest manager/advocate/special counsel in wrestling history, Paul Heyman was honored in Philadelphia.
During the Hall of Fame ceremony that aired after WWE Smackdown on Friday, Heyman delivered a riveting speech covering his career in many different roles. Heyman thanked the wrestlers he was closely associated with while also praising Triple H as a leader and delivering a heartfelt message to his daughter and son sitting in the front row.
In a vlog (video blog) posted on WWE’s Youtube Channel, Heyman can be seen talking to some of the biggest names in WWE history that were there to support him. Some of the people in the video include Roman Reigns, The Undertaker,
Heyman delivered a message on Friday night saying it was not his night.
“It’s not my night. It’s just an audition to be invited back tomorrow. And looking at it any other way, and you’re not following the wisdom of the ‘Wiseman.'”
Some of the people in the video include Roman Reigns, The Undertaker, fellow 2024 WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda and Madusa.
As the video continued, they showed Heyman greeting Triple H and embracing him in a big hug. Heyman was also shown getting photographed with the 2024 WWE Hall of Fame class. Stephanie McMahon also spoke to Heyman about how Paul used to break into Madison Square Garden to take photographs to get into the business.
Heyman was greeted by many others in the video while admitting that he wasn’t good at receiving gifts and compliments.
What Did Paul Heyman Think About His WWE Hall Of Fame Speech?
There was more behind-the-scenes footage shown including Heyman embracing Roman Reigns while getting praised by The Undertaker, The Rock and CM Punk.
Lastly, Paul Heyman spoke into the camera to give his take on his Hall of Fame speech referring to the fan reaction to his speech.
“[If] they liked it, [then] I liked it. If it works, it works, if it doesn’t, it doesn’t. If they’re into it, I’m into it. And if nothing else, I embarrassed my kids. And now, I hope I passed the audition and I’m ready tomorrow. Thank you, ladies and gentlemen.”
At WrestleMania 40, Paul Heyman was at ringside supporting The Rock & Roman Reigns during their victory at WrestleMania Saturday. Heyman was also there as Reigns lost the Undisputed WWE Universal Title to Cody Rhodes, who became the WWE Champion for the first time.
