Only One WWE Star Can Retire Brock Lesnar

A popular WWE star has been tipped to be the one to retire Brock Lesnar.

After he lost to Oba Femi in just under five minutes at WrestleMania 42, Brock Lesnar teased his in-ring retirement by leaving his boots in the ring. Amid the discussions of his potential retirement, The Beast Incarnate made his shocking return a few weeks later and destroyed Oba with four consecutive F-5s. Paul Heyman also revealed that Brock has already signed a contract for the rematch with Femi.

The following week on RAW, it was made official that the rematch between Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi will take place at Clash in Italy this Sunday after Oba signed the contract as well.

A WWE Hall of Famer pitched that this star should be the one to retire Brock Lesnar

As Brock Lesnar didn’t retire after his match at WrestleMania 42 despite the tease, there have been rumors that Gunther would be the one to eventually end The Beast Incarnate’s career. The Ring General has been the one to retire the legends like Goldberg, John Cena, and AJ Styles. However, the WWE Hall of Famer, Bully Ray (fka Bubba Ray Dudley) is against the idea of Gunther being the one to retire Lesnar.

Speaking on the Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray stated that he is more intrigued by Gunther’s ongoing feud with Cody Rhodes than his potential feud with Brock Lesnar. Bully Ray also said that Oba Femi should officially retire Brock:

I am far more intrigued by the GUNTHER/Cody storyline and what it can turn into than I am GUNTHER and Brock. Also, Brock took off his boots and his gloves, post-WrestleMania match against Oba Femi. He basically symbolically retired, symbolically retired without saying the words, ‘I’m retired.’ Changed his mind, came back and attacked Oba on ‘Raw’ The only person I want to see officially retire Brock Lesnar is Oba Femi.”

Bully Ray further pitched the idea of Brock Lesnar beating Oba Femi at Clash in Italy before their Last Man Standing match at SummerSlam, where Brock finally retires:

Oba can say, ‘I left you laying at WrestleMania. I left you laying so bad that you had to retire,’ Brock can say, ‘I left you laying in Italy. I left you laying so bad that you couldn’t stand up on your own two feet.’ How do we settle this? Last Man Standing for their career. Go to SummerSlam.” [H/T Ringside News]
