Nikki Bella Drops Fresh WWE Comeback Hint
The Nikki Bella comeback looks to be on.
On January 23rd, it was reported that “significant discussions” had taken place regarding a WWE return for Nikki Bella.
This was followed by a further report that claimed the star had been training hard should those talks go well.
Rumours of a comeback for Nikki started in early 2025 after she appeared on the January 6th edition of Raw. On the night the show debuted on Netflix the Hall of Famer was interviewed on the red carpet and later shown in the crowd.
“I Miss Being Nikki Bella”
In a new interview with US Weekly, the star has given the clearest indication yet that she’s plotting a return to the ring. She admitted she’d missed wrestling for quite a few years before explaining that being in the crowd for Raw reminded her of why she loves WWE.
“I’ve missed it for quite a few years. I miss being Nikki Bella. I miss being around that family. I definitely miss being in that ring. When they put me in the crowd that night and to feel the energy and see the Bella Army, whether they were in the crowd or online, it starts to give you these feels.
Going home to WWE, I don’t think people understand, I started at 22. That’s all I ever knew up until a little bit ago. So, that’s been the biggest home for me and to go back and be home and the environment there is so incredible. The women were just, what a great locker room. They were just so awesome and together and one and unity and everyone back there was just so happy. You could tell the energy there right now is just incredible.
I’m like, ‘This is why we paved roads in this industry.’ I feel so blessed to go back and experience it. I’m like, ‘OK, I think I need to experience this more.’ I really love it. I feel like I’ve still got it, so we’ll see.”
The star hinted that it wouldn’t take much for her sister Brie to also get back in the ring for one final run.
“When I went and I came back, I was like, ‘Brie, it’s so amazing. So maybe we should make a comeback. She’s so in mom mode, but Brie has that fire in her, too. She has that last run. I feel like it wouldn’t take a lot to get her to come back with me.”
Nikki and her sister Brie officially left WWE in 2023 and announced they would be known as the Garcia Twins going forward.
Their departure came after Nikki narrowly avoided retirement in 2016, only returning to action after undergoing serious neck surgery. However, she retired three years later owing to problems with her neck and the discovery of a benign cyst on her brain.
The Bella Twins made a one-off return in the 2022 Royal Rumble match but otherwise have remained out of the ring.
