Nick Aldis Addresses Injury Status, If He Will Miss Time

Nick Aldis WWE SmackDown

The WWE Smackdown General Manager Nick Aldis has confirmed an injury while also revealing if he will miss time due to the setback.

It was on the October 13, 2023 edition of SmackDown when WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque announced that Nick Aldis would be the on-screen General Manager of the blue brand. Adam Pearce was also named the Raw GM at the same time.

Prior to his appointment as a WWE on-screen character for the first time, the former NWA & TNA World Champion Nick Aldis had been working for WWE as a Producer. Aldis still works in that role in addition to running Smackdown on screen.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that Nick Aldis suffered an injury that required surgery and it was believed to be a torn biceps.

While posting on X/Twitter, Aldis confirmed the injury while saying that the “sheets” had the story posted within minutes while adding that it was a freak accident. Based on what Aldis said on social media, it appears as though he’ll continue to be on the road for WWE. In the photo, Aldis appears to have the sling on his left arm.

“Yes, I just got out of surgery for a ruptured bicep tendon, and yes, the sheets had it within minutes. God bless ’em. Must be a slow news day…anyway it was a freak accident, I’m on the mend, and I will continue to fulfill my obligations. #SmackDown

Even though he has been a pro wrestler for nearly 20 years, Aldis has yet to wrestle for WWE, but since he is under contract, it certainly could happen some day. For now, he will have to rehab the torn biceps injury that will likely prevent him from wrestling for several months.

What WrestleMania Match Did Nick Aldis Announce On SmackDown?

On the March 15th edition of Smackdown, there was a match that saw Randy Orton beat Grayson Waller. After the match, the WWE US Champion Logan Paul tried to join Waller and Austin Theory in attacking Randy Orton, but Kevin Owens was there to help Orton fight them off.

That led to Aldis appearing to tell Logan Paul that at WrestleMania 40, he had to defend the US Title against both Kevin Owens & Randy Orton, both of whom are men that whom Paul has had issues over the last couple of months.

Everybody at TJRWrestling wishes Nick Aldis all the best as he recovers from this injury.
