Nia Jax Explains Taking Personal Shot At Bayley On WWE SmackDown
Nia Jax had a unique way of trash-talking against her WWE SummerSlam opponent, Bayley.
There will be several huge championship matches taking place at WWE SummerSlam in Cleveland on August 3rd. One of those big matches will see the current WWE Women’s Champion Bayley defend the championship against Queen of the Ring, Nia Jax.
On the July 12th edition of WWE SmackDown, Nia Jax and Bayley exchanged words. After Bayley was attacked by Jax and her friend Tiffany Stratton, Michin made the save. That would lead right into a Jax-Michin match that Jax won easily.
After the match, Bayley tried to get some revenge on Jax and Stratton, but it didn’t work. Jax and Stratton beat up Bayley while Jax stood tall after hitting a leg drop.
While the physicality got a lot of attention, perhaps what people talked about the most after the segment was when Jax wondered if it was “BBL” Bayley. For those of us not in the know, the term “BBL” on TikTok refers to a Brazilian butt lift. That is a cosmetic procedure that augments the size and shape of the butt.
When Jax said the line on Smackdown, it did draw a reaction from the fans, so clearly the term is well-known by many people who watch WWE.
Why Did Nia Jax Use The “BBL” Term On Bayley?
Nia Jax was interviewed by Tim Battle of the Underground Podcast, which led to Jax explaining why she mentioned “BBL” on Smackdown and her long history with Bayley as well.
“I was just saying the obvious. I just kind of thought of it because Bayley and I have such a history, going way back into NXT. It’s been a solid decade of me and Bayley. We’ve never been able on the main roster to have a real good interaction of promo and storytelling.”
“When we got in there, and she brought up the injuring and all this stuff, it just hit me, and I was literally saying the obvious, what everybody has known for her to have. I have known Bayley long to know that is an all-natural, beautiful Brazilian booty, Latina [laughs], but knowing her for as long as I have and seeing her character develop, I think she’s been more embracing of her God-given talents. So I just stated the obvious.”
The next likely interaction between Bayley and Jax is coming on tonight’s July 19th episode of Smackdown in Omaha as Bayley looks for payback against her powerful rival.
