New Photo Reveals Gruesome Roman Reigns Injury After WWE RAW

A viral photo from this past week’s RAW revealed a visible injury Roman Reigns sustained after a brutal assault towards the end of the show.

Roman Reigns has been in a personal feud with his Anoa’i family cousin, Jacob Fatu, since he won the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 42. The Samoan Werewolf has been launching attacks on The OTC week after week in an attempt to break him. At Backlash 2026, Jacob also challenged Roman for the World title, but failed to capture the title in the end.

Nevertheless, Jacob Fatu brutally assaulted Roman Reigns despite losing and left him lying in the ring. This past Monday on RAW, Jacob took out The Usos before a massive brawl with Roman. Although Reigns tried to take Fatu out with a steel chair, he got leveled yet again with the Tongan death grip. In a brutal display, Jacob Fatu flattened Reigns and The Usos through the barricade.

The OTC seemed pretty banged up after the attack on RAW, as he was having trouble walking out of the arena. Meanwhile, a picture from the end of this week’s RAW has been circulating on social media, which shows that Roman’s elbow is busted open with visible blood. The new photo also raises injury concerns.

WWE star on why he has been attacking Roman Reigns

Before his World title match against Roman Reigns at Backlash 2026, Jacob Fatu was asked why he was continuously assaulting Roman during an interview with ESPN’s Get Up. The Samoan Werewolf explained that he wants to be at the top by attacking the man at the top, i.e. Roman:

You know, this is my older cousin. This is the tribal chief, but at the end of the day, what family don’t fight? I need to feed my family and take care of them just as well as he does. Our family has been in WWE for well over a couple decades… with me coming in for two years now, it’s only right just to head to the top.”

If you want to go through the top, you got to take out who’s at the top… and who’s at the top of the food chain and who has been there for a very long time—we’re talking about 12 WrestleManias—is none other than Roman Reigns,” Fatu stated.

Only time will tell what’s next in the storyline between Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu.
