WWE CCO Triple H’s booking decisions have been under fire constantly for the past several months, and this veteran shares some insight on one of the reasons.

Title matches in WWE used to be reserved for big occasions like Pay-per-views (Now called Premium Live Events – PLEs).

Even though there would be title matches on Raw and SmackDown during the Attitude Era and Ruthless Aggression Era, it was never as frequent as it is in the modern era.

The latest example would be the WWE Title, which changed hands in a major shift going into WrestleMania 42, with Drew McIntyre losing it to Cody Rhodes on SmackDown this past Friday.

Another example is the Women’s Intercontinental Title held by AJ Lee, which Lee will defend next week on Raw against the #1 Contender Bayley, who earned her spot by winning a Gauntlet match on Raw this past Monday.

Former WWE booker Vince Russo recently shared his insight and tried to answer the question of why Triple H is booking multiple title matches on weekly shows.

Triple H’s Booking Could Be A Result Of Netflix Pressure, Says Vince Russo

On Coach & Bro, Coach asked Russo about the reason for multiple title matches being held on weekly shows and how it’s affecting the build-up to WrestleMania 42, which shockingly only has four matches locked in out of the decided fourteen.

Russo explains that Netflix is asking WWE for results, and Triple H is under pressure to deliver.

He says that this isn’t simply about WrestleMania 42 but also about WWE giving its dues to the deal with Netflix that began last January.

Coach, because that is freaking Netflix saying, “we’re paying you a lot of money. At what point are you gonna start delivering?

This is not just about them booking WrestleMania because now we’re starting to see championship matches more on SmackDown and Raw.

They would not be doing that, Coach, if they weren’t being forced to do that. (54:25 onwards)
