MJF Shares Photo With WWE Personality

MJF kissing his Dynamite Diamond Ring

Despite only returning to AEW programming recently, MJF continues to tease a potential move to WWE after sharing a photo of himself alongside one of the company’s broadcasters.

Making his return at AEW All Out, MJF won the Casino Ladder Match whilst wearing a mask, revealing himself after CM Punk had won the AEW World Championship and making it clear he had his eyes on the belt. Despite this, ‘The Salt Of The Earth’ has quickly returned to the same form as before his hiatus and continued the suggestion that he could leave the company when his contract expires in 2024.

As well as referencing the likes of Nick Khan and Triple H on the 7th September 2022 edition of AEW Dynamite, MJF has now taken to social media to share a photo of himself alongside WWE broadcaster Peter Rosenberg, going so far as to say that he is “one of the best wrestling broadcast journalists” and reiterating the 2024 date.

It is believed that the three-time Dynamite Diamond Ring winner is seriously considering his options when the end of his contract rolls around, and that this may not be 100% storyline. Whether it is extremely long-term storytelling over a number of years or he is actually angling for a move, we won’t know for a long time to come.

As part of this, there is currently no confirmation whether MJF has signed an extended contract with AEW. The rumours of issues with the company started ahead of Double Nothing, including speculation that he may not turn up for the event. On the following episode of Dynamite, he challenged Tony Khan to “fire me you f*cking mark” – the promo went to an ad break, wasn’t referenced for the rest of the show and he hasn’t been seen on AEW programming since.
