Liv Morgan On Unfortunate WWE Accident: “I Was Angry”
Liv Morgan recently addressed her 2025 injury that cost her months of live TV appearances.
On the June 16 episode of WWE Raw, she faced Kairi Sane in a singles match.
Seconds into the match, she was brought to the mat by the Japanese star using a leg takedown. Morgan, however, landed awkwardly as she desperately crawled out of the ring, clutching at her right shoulder.
She signaled to the referee, Jessika Carr, who called for the ringside doctor.
After examining her arm, they concluded that she could not compete further, thus awarding the match to Sane.
The doctors then helped her backstage. A legitimate shoulder injury was later reported, confirming that she would require surgery.
During an exclusive interview with The Takedown on SI, Liv Morgan admitted to being frustrated, considering she was doing some of her best career work.
I was mad the whole entire time. I got injured in a moment [when] I had multiple things going on for me. I was really enjoying and loving what I was doing. So to have all that taken away from me for an extended period of time, I was angry. I was quite literally angry the whole entire time that I was recovering.
So, I feel like I came back with a little bit of a chip on my shoulder just because I felt like my career was taken from me, and I did not appreciate that.
Liv Morgan Returned To WWE At Survivor Series: WarGames
At Survivor Series: WarGames, John Cena defended his Intercontinental Championship against Dominik Mysterio.
Both superstars performed a sequence outside the ring that saw Cena execute a head scissors on Mysterio. However, Dom landed awkwardly, as the doctors came to check on him.
It was then revealed that it was a ruse, as Mysterio went back to attack Cena.
Later in the match, the referee got taken out. When Cena called out for a new referee, Liv Morgan’s music hit to a loud pop.
She flirted with Dominik before slapping him and hugging Cena, only to kick him low. She also hit him with the IC title. Mysterio capitalized on it and hit a Frog Splash for the victory.
