LA Knight is coming to WWE Payback.
LA Knight has taken the WWE by storm, capturing the hearts of fans and making waves with impressive merchandise sales. Despite his two decades in the wrestling business, Knight’s recent rise to popularity has been a relatively fast one, and many fans wonder if the 40-year-old star has a World Championship run in his WWE future.
On SmackDown in Louisville, Kentucky, Knight was in action in the main event as he took on Finn Balor on a night when Bray Wyatt was at the forefront of everyone’s thoughts. Knight was Wyatt’s final opponent after the two men met at the 2023 Royal Rumble and his win over Balor gave fans a reason to cheer despite the tragedies that had befallen the wrestling world this week.
LA Knight ready for a must-see challenge
LA Knight paid his own tribute to Bray Wyatt before the bout crediting him with helping prepare Knight for the position he now finds himself in, before channelling Wyatt by giving The Miz a warning following their run-ins with Knight telling Miz to “run.”
The commentary team confirmed that LA Knight will take on The Miz at Payback on September 2nd. But that was not the only bout confirmed for the PLE on the show. Rey Mysterio defeated Grayson Waller at the start of the night and the WWE Hall of Famer will put his US Title on the line at Payback against Austin Theory.
