Jon Moxley’s Next Title Defense Confirmed For AEW Dynamite Summer Blockbuster

Jon Moxley’s future as the AEW Continental Champion was addressed on Collision.

On June 6, Shane Taylor defeated Alan Angels in a singles match. After the bout, he called out Moxley and the Death Riders, proclaiming that they would no longer be a dominant faction.

Taylor stated that his group, Shane Taylor Promotions, would be the most violent in the company going forward.

The Death Riders, including Jon Moxley, arrived for a trios match against members of STP. The match witnessed interference at different points, with the likes of Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia, and even Shane Taylor getting involved.

The Trios bout ended with PAC hitting a massive lariat on Carlie Bravo for the win.

Later in the night, a backstage segment showed that STP had taken out Yuta, as Taylor blamed tha attack on Moxley while challenging him for a match. The leader of the Death Riders accepted.

It was then confirmed that Jon Moxley would defend the AEW Continental Championship against Shane Taylor on Dynamite Summer Blockbuster on June 10.

Jon Moxley And More Matches Confirmed For AEW Dynamite Summer Blockbuster

The June 10 episode of AEW Dynamite will be taped live in Cincinnati, Ohio, which is Jon Moxley’s hometown.

In addition to his title defense against Shane Taylor, Death Riders’ PAC will also be in action and take on Mark Briscoe. The bout continues to heat up the tension between the Death Riders and The Conglomeration.

The Young Bucks (Nick & Matt Jackson) will face The Dogs (David Finlay & Clark Connors) after The Dogs issued a challenge to Nick and Matt on last week’s Dynamite.

The Conglomeration’s Orange Casssidy will also face Andrade El Idolo after he was challenged by Rocky Romero.

The Owen Hart Cup tournament will see the men’s semi-final match between Swerve Strickland and Brody King, whereas the women’s quarter-finals will continue with a match between Sareee and Skye Blue.
