Jon Moxley is set to reunite with a former ally at an upcoming independent wrestling show.

Ever since he joined AEW in May 2019, Jon Moxley has also worked on independent wrestling shows. As the years have gone by, Moxley has worked independent wrestling shows less often because AEW wants him to be fresh for their shows.

It was announced by Wrestling REVOLVER that Jon Moxley will team up with Sami Callihan against The Rascalz duo of Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz at the company’s Revolver UNREAL event on Thursday, November 16th in Los Angeles. Miguel & Wentz are a long-time team that works for IMPACT Wrestling, which will be renamed TNA in January.

An interesting fact about the match is that Moxley and Callihan were a tag team on the independent wrestling scene prior to Moxley signing with WWE in 2011. Moxley would become Dean Ambrose while Callihan was Solomon Crowe in WWE.

It has also been reported recently that Moxley has made it clear to AEW management that he wants the company to sign Callihan, who recently became a free agent after working for IMPACT Wrestling for about six years.

That same Revolver event on November 16th will also feature former WWE Raw & Smackdown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey as well.

Jon Moxley Set For Championship Match At AEW Full Gear

While Jon Moxley will be wrestling for Revolver on November 16th, two days after that at AEW Full Gear in Los Angeles on November 16th, he’ll be in a championship match.

The former three-time AEW World Champion Moxley will look to regain the championship he most recently won in AEW: The International Title held by Orange Cassidy.

Jon Moxley won the International Title from Orange Cassidy at AEW All Out in September, but then he lost it to Rey Fenix on AEW Dynamite when he suffered a concussion during a match. Cassidy has since regained the International Title, which has led to AEW booking another Cassidy-Moxley rematch for Full Gear.
