John Cena has seemingly picked his side in the Cody Rhodes-Randy Orton feud.

The contract signing segment between Rhodes and Orton on March 13 took an ugly turn when The Viper heeded to the voices in his head and viciously attacked the champion.

The severity of the beatdown caused Rhodes to miss the subsequent taping of SmackDown to heal from the aftereffects.

In his absence, Orton targeted The American Nightmare’s close friend, Matt Cardona, by faking an apology and breaking the latter’s arm by trapping it between a steel chair and stomping on it.

While Cardona tried to avenge the attack, he again fell victim to Randy Orton last Friday. The episode also witnessed Cody Rhodes’ return, following which he brawled with his WrestleMania 42 opponent.

Grammy Award winner Jelly Roll, who is friends with both Orton and Rhodes, was hit with an RKO by The Apex Predator to end the segment.

Elsewhere, John Cena has kept a close watch on the feud and has now potentially picked a side.

John Cena Seemingly Sides With Randy Orton

Since retiring from wrestling at Saturday Night’s Main Event in December last year, John Cena has been focusing on life outside the squared circle.

During a recent public appearance, he confirmed that he had been working closely with WWE, although he did not reveal any details.

The 48-year-old also announced via social media that he would be the host of WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas on April 18 & 19.

While fans have been divided over Randy Orton’s rivalry with Cody Rhodes, Cena has seemingly picked his side, despite sharing a cordial relationship with both superstars.

Taking to Instagram, the 17-time world champion shared an edited photo of Orton sitting on a chair holding the Undisputed WWE Championship with Cody’s name written on his t-shirt.
