John Cena Addresses WWE Fans On SmackDown

John Cena

John Cena made a surprise appearance on the final SmackDown of 2023 and reminded WWE fans that his time in the ring is fading fast.

John Cena enjoyed a notable run in WWE in 2023 as the actor and writer’s strikes in Hollywood brought the movie business to a standstill.

Cena had competed against Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39 but was back in the fall of the year as a regular fixture on SmackDown as he tried to help take down The Bloodline. Cena teamed with LA Knight at Fastlane to defeat the team of Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso.

John Cena was decimated by Solo Sikoa at Crown Jewel in November as his run in the company came to an end and he headed back to Hollywood.

John Cena Makes WWE Appearance On SmackDown

Now John Cena has appeared in a video message on the final SmackDown of 2023 as he gave a toast but also reminded fans that he did not know how much more time in a WWE ring he had left:

WWE Universe, John Cena here, all dressed up to celebrate a wonderful group of people. A toast to the WWE Universe for making my 2023. As you know, I was able to return to SmackDown in the fall, and the reception and the respect, I will never forget.

I do not know how much time in the WWE I have left, but I do know in recent times when I’ve been able to return home, you have always welcomed me as one of your own. I am forever indebted to your generosity, your empathy, your respect, and your excitement.

I look forward to the next time we can get together, but I wanted to take a moment to truly say thank you for making this a wonderful year for me and for my family. To the WWE Universe. Until the next round. Cheers.

Rumours have swirled that a former WWE Champion is set to appear on Day 1 Raw and Triple H has now offered his own huge tease for that show.
