Jey Uso Makes Heartbreaking Statement About His WWE Royal Rumble Chances
Jey Uso is confirmed to be one of the participants in the 2026 Royal Rumble.
Jey also competed in last year’s 30-man over-the-top rope elimination match. He not only participated but also won the whole thing, earning himself the opportunity to challenge for the world title.
With a choice in front of him, Jey picked the then-World Heavyweight Champion Gunther as his opponent at WrestleMania 41. This left Cody Rhodes with challenging the winner of the Elimination Chamber match, which turned out to be John Cena.
To everyone’s surprise, Jey Uso showed strong resistance to The Ring General’s offense, even using his own moves against him in the process.
In the end, he used the rare-naked chokehold to tap the champion out, thus becoming a World Champion for the first time. After the match, he celebrated the win with his twin brother, Jimmy Uso.
Jey Uso Discusses His Chance Of Winning Back-To-Back Royal Rumbles
Going into the Royal Rumble, Jey Uso has the unique opportunity of joining ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, and Cody Rhodes as the back-to-back Rumble winners.
Appearing virtually on ESPN’s SportsCenter, Uso said that it was difficult to comprehend being featured in the same list as the elite names who won consecutive Royal Rumble matches.
I would definitely be ecstatic to win Royal Rumble back-to-back. I think I’m the only person in the world that believes that right now because they ain’t believe me last year. I just gotta shock the world two times in a row. [2:10 onwards]
