Jade Cargill & Rhea Ripley Online Feud “Is A Work”
Jade Cargill and Rhea Ripley seem to hate each other online, but is that all part of WWE’s plan?
A quick glance at X/Twitter will no doubt have WWE fans coming across an increasingly heated exchange between WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill, Chelsea Green, and Piper Niven. And as Americans might have become aware on social media in the last week or so, coming for Scottish people is not advised.
Chelsea Green made a comment about Rhea Ripley being well respected, to which Ripley’s WrestleMania opponent, Cargill, replied in mocking tones. Piper Niven entered the chat. Any dignity that the WWE Women’s Champion might have hoped to escape the exchange with ended when Niven promptly told her to “Lick my ring ya boot.”
Rhea Ripley seemingly indicated that her issues with Cargill might be very real as she made allusions to not being friends on another post.
But is all of this really just part of the show as well?
Jade Cargill & Rhea Ripley Online Heat Not Real
Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained that all of the online back and forth is an angle; however, some of what was being said regarding Jade Cargill might ring true for many in the company:
What’s interesting about this angle is, you know, they’ve involved other people [Chelsea Green & Piper Niven] to make you think it’s real.
The funny part is, ever since the thing with Jade and Shayna Baszler from months and months ago, what I’m reading is exactly what these people are [saying]. I’m not saying that the people who tweeted have said that to me; I will only say that those words have been said to me. There is a prevailing viewpoint there among people and talent that is identical to some of the things that were tweeted.
It is a work. If it was real, they’re not doing it. Chelsea Green and Piper Niven they’re not gonna bury someone on their own team in public because they know you can’t do this, it’s not allowed. But, they are using the thoughts of many people while they’re doing this angle.
