WWE Star Wanted To Fight Jade Cargill During Backstage Bust Up

Jade Cargill was involved in a backstage altercation before going on hiatus.

At Elimination Chamber, Jade Cargill made a stunning return to WWE when she attacked Naomi before the women’s Chamber match began. Cargill battered Naomi from pillar to post and left her unable to compete.

The star had been out of action since November when, during an episode of SmackDown, she was taken out by a mystery attacker.

At the time, it was reported the storyline was to cover for a legitimate injury, while others said this wasn’t the case.

Interestingly, it’s now been reported that Cargill was involved in a backstage incident with another WWE star in the months leading up to her hiatus.

Jade Cargill In Backstage Controversy

In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer claimed that Cargill got into a confrontation with Shayna Bazler during a spell on Raw. It was noted that Baszler was ready to fight Cargill as tensions increased.

There was a confrontation that took place a few months ago before the Cargill injury involving Cargill and Baszler. It’s been confirmed by a half dozen people that it happened but nobody went into details past Cargill had rubbed enough people in the Raw women’s division the wrong way and Baszler was wanting to fight her until management found out and calmed the situation down.

Meltzer added that there wasn’t just one issue that led to the incident, with some animosity stemming from tag team matches involving the pair and some not. One female star claimed the tension within the SmackDown locker room is even worse than on Raw.

Cargill and Baszler crossed paths in three tag team matches through June and July 2024. They were both involved in a number one contender Battle Royal on the red brand just days before Cargill was written off television.
