The former United States Champion, Jacob Fatu hinted at a massive rivalry between himself and a former World Champion. However, Jacob refused to call the star out for a match.

Ever since his WWE debut on SmackDown in 2024, Jacob Fatu has managed to make a huge impact with his intensity and aggressive character. At WrestleMania 42, Jacob defeated Drew McIntyre in an unsanctioned match after feuding with him for months. On the RAW after Mania 42, Fatu confronted his cousin and the new World Heavyweight Champion, Roman Reigns. Jacob also challenged Roman for the World title during the segment.

Meanwhile, Jacob Fatu has dropped a tease for another big feud in the middle of his dynamic with Roman Reigns. Jacob could be feuding with The Ring General, Gunther, sooner rather than later, it seems.

During his recent appearance on the Club 520 podcast, Jacob Fatu discussed whether he is considering facing The Ring General, Gunther. Although he refused to call Gunther out for a match, Jacob admitted that he once considered facing the former World Heavyweight Champion:

Man, I ain’t gonna call him out. But when I was in my room with my own, eating my In-N-Out burger, I was scrolling through the phone and I thought about it. And I was like, ‘Oh, sh*t. If me and Gunther was to go at it?’

Fatu also revealed how Gunther’s entrance with his old theme brought him chills:

And I swear, I swear to it, it never even crossed my mind. But when I’m sitting there and I see his entrance — it’s when I heard his entrance. They brought back his entrance music, his old one. And for some reason Uce, it just brought me chills. For some reason, I don’t know. And then I’m like, ‘Nah.’”

In conclusion, Jacob Fatu refused to confirm that he will be facing Gunther and also admitted fearing him:

I mean, I’m not saying anything gonna happen, but that is the answer. It is Gunther. Definitely Gunther…I’m glad he didn’t hear [this], because he got some big hands.” [h/t 411Mania]

While Jacob Fatu won his match against Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 42, Gunther also defeated Seth Rollins at the big event. It will be interesting to see if Fatu and Gunther will square off inside the ring soon.
