BREAKING: IYO SKY Marries WWE Superstar
IYO SKY has officially married her long-time partner.
SKY and Naraku, who performed under the name EVIL in New Japan Pro-Wrestling, had been engaged since 2015. Naraku quit the Japanese promotion in January before making his first WWE appearance with NXT in late April. He defeated Lince Dorado in his first official bout on May 12.
The former Women’s World Champion took to Twitter to announce that she had wedded Naraku, captioning the post “Mr and Mrs.”
While sharing a photo each from their wedding day and an earlier promo shoot, IYO SKY also shared a note written in Japanese, which translates as below:
On a personal note, we would like to announce that NARAKU (formerly EVIL) of WWE and IYO SKY (formerly Io Shirai) of WWE are now married.
We began our professional wrestling careers in Japan, each seeing different landscapes and ‘skies,’ but starting this early summer, we feel a deep sense of connection and joy at becoming colleagues and comrades as we take on the same stage—WWE—across the ocean.
From now on, as a married couple, we will support each other in our daily lives. As WWE ‘Superstars,’ we will share both the lonely ‘darkness’ and the glory, lifting each other up and striving to shine even brighter.

IYO SKY Defeated Her Mentor Asuka At WWE Backlash
Following the disbandment of her team-up with Rhea Ripley, IYO SKY revived her feud with her senpai, Asuka, who accused her of abandoning her and choosing Ripley over her.
On more than one occasion, SKY tried explaining her side of the story, but The Empress of Tomorrow would have none of it.
A match between them was finalized for Backlash, the first WWE PLE after WrestleMania 42.
As expected, both women put on clinical performances, ending in a victory for SKY, who pinned Asuka after hitting her with her Over The Moonsault finisher.
After the bout, both wrestlers appeared emotional and hugged each other, leading to fans speculating about Asuka’s future with the company.
In a backstage segment shot between them on the subsequent Raw episode, Asuka passed on the baton to her protege before leaving the venue with her luggage.
Dave Meltzer recently revealed that Asuka has returned to Japan to tend to family-related matters. At this time, the timeline for the 44-year-old wrestler’s return remains unclear.
SKY, on the other hand, secured a victory over Raw’s latest recruit, Sol Ruca, in a singles match.
Everyone at TJR Wrestling wishes IYO SKY and Naraku a blessed future together.
