Hulk Hogan, who passed away last year aged 71, is set to be immortalized with a WWE Hall of Fame mention yet again.

The ceremony will take place on April 17, one night before the two-day WrestleMania event.

Several names have already been announced, starting last year at Wrestlepalooza. While Stephanie McMahon and AJ Styles are inductees in the individual category, Demolition has been included in the group category.

Hulk Hogan’s former nWo stablemate, Dennis Rodman, will be inducted as a celebrity, whereas the Legacy section comprises Sycho Sid and Bad News Brown.

Hulk Hogan Vs. Andre The Giant WrestleMania 3 Match To Enter WWE Hall Of Fame

WWE has announced via a social media post that Hulk Hogan’s match against Andre the Giant at WrestleMania 3 will be honored with the WWE Immortal Moment Award during the HOF ceremony on April 17.

In the main event of the 1987 WrestleMania, Hogan defended his WWF World Heavyweight Championship in front of a packed Pontiac Silverdome in Michigan.

Andre the Giant was one of the major heels in the promotion and was heavily booed along with his manager, Bobby Heenan.

In the early minutes of the bout, Hogan attempted a power slam on his opponent, but failed. What followed was intense back-and-forth action.

In the closing minutes, Hulk Hogan first got Andre the Giant off his feet with a clothesline before ‘Hulking Up’ to hype the audience.

He then lifted all of Giant’s 525 lb, dropping him with a thudding scoop slam as the fans rose to their feet. He then hit his leg drop before collecting a successful pinfall.
