Triple H Officially Announces The Latest Inductee Into The 2026 WWE Hall Of Fame
Triple H has revealed that Bad News Brown will be inducted into the 2026 Legacy Class of the WWE Hall of Fame.
The promotion’s Chief Content Officer took to X to make the announcement, calling the Olympian a fierce competitor.
Before making appearances in professional wrestling promotions, Big News Brown, real name Allen Coage, represented the United States at the 1976 Summer Olympics, where he won the heavyweight bronze medal in judo.
Brown had multiple stints with WWE, the first occurring in 1978, when he made a one-off appearance. He competed several times the following year, including unsuccessfully challenging for the NWA North American Tag Team Championship.
He returned to the company for another couple of years, starting in 1988, picking up feuds with the likes of ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage and ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper.
Brown also represented other promotions like New Japan Pro Wrestling and Stampede Wrestling. He passed away in March 2007 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, aged 63.
From standing on the podium at the 1976 Summer Olympics to the center of the ring at #WrestleMania IV, Bad News Brown was a fierce competitor with an attitude to match. For his accomplishments in combat sports and contributions to @WWE, it is a pleasure to announce his induction into the 2026 Legacy Class of the #WWEHOF, Triple H wrote on his X account.
Who Are The Other 2026 WWE Hall Of Fame Inductees?
Former WWE co-CEO and chairwoman Stephanie McMahon was announced as the first inductee into the Hall of Fame during Wrestlepalooza in September last year.
AJ Styles and Demolition were then added to the list, with The Undertaker delivering the news in person, as he had done in the case of Stephanie.
Bad News Brown also joins Dennis Rodman and Sycho Sid in the class of 2026.
The Hall of Fame ceremony will take place on April 17 during the WrestleMania 42 weekend at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
