Gunther Shockingly Loses On WWE RAW; Major Champion Pinned

Gunther is arguably the most hated WWE wrestler currently, following his exploits over the last 12 months or so. He is single-handedly responsible for ending the careers of three WWE legends.

The career-killer, as he is now being called, initially ended the career of Bill Goldberg at July 2025’s Saturday Night’s Main Event. He followed that up with career-ending wins over John Cena and, most recently, AJ Styles.

After taking care of Styles at the Royal Rumble, Gunther shifted his focus towards becoming a World Champion once again in the company. He looked to win the Rumble, but was thrown out last by Roman Reigns.

The Ring General then looked to make his way to the Elimination Chamber to earn a shot at the title. He was facing Dominik Mysterio and Je’Von Evans in a triple threat match to determine the winner.

Gunther dominated most of the match, and it seemed like he would emerge victorious, but he was then attacked by a returning Dragon Lee. Lee jumped and hit Gunther with the ring bell to take him out of the match.

Following this moment, Je’Von Evans took advantage of an already bruised and beaten Dominik Mysterio as he hit him with an OG Cutter to seal the win and earn a spot in the Men’s Elimination Chamber match.
