With only days remaining until the final Premium Live Event before WWE WrestleMania 42, tonight’s edition of Monday Night RAW was an extremely special one for the fans.

Emanating live from Atlanta, Georgia, tonight’s edition was scheduled to be a special tribute show for the recently retired hometown hero,  AJ Styles. The night also marked the return of Brock Lesnar to the red brand.

Corey Graves and Michael Cole kicked off an eventful night as they looked to celebrate the Phenomenal One’s career, but they were interrupted by the man who sent Styles into retirement, Gunther.

Gunther asked to leave WWE RAW moments into the show

The Ring General took over the segment and made his way to the ring amid resounding boos from the crowd. He proceeded to badmouth Styles and the other wrestlers that he retired last year.

RAW General Manager, Adam Pearce, however, was on hand to put an end to Gunther’s disrespect as he came out with security and asked him to leave the building.

The former World Champion stated that he is leaving the building on his own terms, as he refused to be part of the celebration for Styles. He mocked the fans for one last time before leaving, but was attacked by AJ’s former partner, Dragon Lee, and the two brawled all the way backstage.
