Major Sign Former WWE Star Could Be Set For Return

WWE Logo over Roster

There has been a major indication that a former WWE Superstar could be set for a return to the company almost two years after they were released.

Since Triple H took over the WWE mantle from Vince McMahon in July 2022, the Chief Content Officer has set about boosting the numbers on the roster after two years of huge cuts made under McMahon. Stars such as Braun Strowman, Bray Wyatt, and Dakota Kai among many others have returned – however reports have suggested that The Game has been “severely underwhelmed” by some of his returning stars.

But now it looks like former WWE star Chelsea Green will be the next to return to the company. Fightful Select has confirmed that Green is heading to WWE after she shut down her exclusive content page.

Such content pages have been in the news since former NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose was fired by WWE due to her own subscription site. Reports suggest WWE felt they had “absolutely no choice” but to release Rose due to the explicit nature of the content she was producing.

Chelsea Green had been part of the NXT roster before she made one appearance on SmackDown in November 2020. She suffered an injury in that bout and didn’t return to the ring for the company before being released in April 2021. After leaving, Green joined IMPACT Wrestling where she last competed for that promotion in November 2022 when she lost to Mickie James.
