Finn Balor’s Betrayal Of The Judgment Day Seemingly Confirmed

Finn Balor’s recent actions could take his character in a different direction.

Balor has been a part of the Raw heel faction Judgement Day for a long time now.

This past week on Raw, his factionmate Dominik Mysterio had his Intercontinental Championship on the line against Penta, and at one point during the match, asked Judgement Day’s JD McDonagh for a hammer to use as a weapon. Balor wouldn’t allow McDonagh to give Mysterio the hammer, saying Dirty Dom would have to continue the match without external help.

Amidst the confusion, Penta took advantage and won the match, becoming the new Intercontinental Champion.

To make matters worse, Balor liked Penta’s post on Instagram supporting his IC Title win, much to the surprise of his close friend and factionmate JD McDonagh, who had trouble understanding whose side Balor was on following his actions and posted the screengrab on his Instagram story with a thinking emoji.

McDonagh has missed several weeks of action after undergoing neck surgery, and tensions between Mysterio and Balor heated up during this time.

From Balor’s point of view, he was playing it fair as he had specifically asked The Judgement Day to stay out of his World Heavyweight Title match against CM Punk, a match he lost on his own.

Finn Balor Could Face Dominik Mysterio At WrestleMania

Finn Balor looks all set to turn babyface after these recent actions, and his Judgement Day betrayal could start a heated feud between him and Dominik Mysterio, leading to a potential match at WrestleMania, although nothing has been confirmed yet.

Balor seems to have put his feud and World Title chase with CM Punk behind him after losing to Punk twice for the title in the span of two months, first in an episode of Raw in January and then at the Elimination Chamber PLE.

JD McDonagh, meanwhile, who has been close friends with Finn Balor for decades now, will have a hard time choosing between him and factionmate Dominik Mysterio if the match were to take place at WrestleMania 42
