The AEW World Championship will be on the line at Dynamite Grand Slam with two men set to battle for the right to face MJF.

This week’s AEW television shows featured an eight-man Grand Slam Eliminator Tournament with two quarterfinal matches taking place on Dynamite this past Wednesday along with two matches airing on Rampage, which was taped after Dynamite.

On Saturday night’s AEW Collision episode from Cleveland, Roderick Strong beat Darby Allin in the first Semifinal match in the tournament. Allin was attacked by TNT Luchasaurus and Christian Cage before the match. Strong picked up the win with the End of Heartache backbreaker.

In the main event of AEW Collision, Samoa Joe defeated Pental El Zero Miedo. A table was set up on the floor earlier in the match. When Penta tried a dive out of the ring, Joe moved and Penta went crashing through the table. Joe put Penta away with the Coquina Clutch submission soon after that.

That means that Roderick Strong will face Samoa Joe on the September 13th edition of AEW Dynamite.

The winner of that match between Joe & Strong will challenge AEW World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam in New York City on September 20th.

AEW Dynamite will feature four big matches on September 13th
