Ex-WWE Champion Confirms Plans For In-Ring Return After 9 Years

This former Champion has recently returned to the wrestling world.

Former Diva and one-time Women’s Champion Candice Michelle was a well-known face in WWE during her run with the promotion in the 2000s.

She was part of the Raw Divas Search, but upon not making it to the top 10, WWE gave her the gimmick of a makeup artist to work with, and she started making appearances on television.

She would later perform as a full-time superstar on both the SmackDown and Raw brands.

She suffered from injuries in the latter part of her run and was released from her WWE contract in 2009.

Michelle recently came back to wrestling as part of the TNA brand. She signed a contract with TNA, where she will be in a new non-wrestling behind-the-scenes role.

Former WWE Star Candice Michelle Speaks About Plans To Wrestle Again

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Michelle spoke about how she got a call from WWE Hardcore Legend Tommy Dreamer for a spot as an agent in TNA.

Michelle also noted that her return to TNA in this behind-the-scenes role may eventually lead her to appear on TV again.

Van Vliet: So is this just a backstage role, or are we going to see Candice Michelle making an appearance on TV?

Candice Michelle: I think that this initial call was my hope spot, and I think it’s going to lead into my comeback.
