Ex-WWE Champion Breaks Silence After Losing Title Ahead Of WrestleMania
A major WWE Champion was dethroned from their spot at NXT Stand & Deliver on Saturday.
2-time NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne defended her title against Lola Vice and Kendal Grey in a three-way match to kick off the show.
Jayne closed off 2025 at the top but not before losing her championship to Tatum Paxley and reclaiming it within a month’s time between October and November.
Meanwhile, Grey and Vice both claimed their stakes to the title, with manager Robert Stone scheduling a #1 Contendership match between them on Tuesday.
The bout witnessed a controversial finish, with the original referee counting a 3-count on Vice, whereas the standby referee saw Grey tap out to a submission at the same time.
Due to a non-conclusive result, the Stand & Deliver PLE match was converted into a three-way affair.
Jacy Jayne Breaks Silence On Title Loss Ahead Of WWE WrestleMania
On April 4, Jacy Jayne gave it her all, even when the odds were stacked against her.
Despite back-and-forth action, the match also witnessed multiple interferences from her Fatal Attraction stablemates, who were neutralized by Wren Sinclair.
In the closing minutes, Jayne hit her Rolling Encore finisher on Kendal Grey, only to be met with Lola Vice’s back fist for the successful pinfall.
With her victory, Lola Vice became the first Cuban-American wrestler to win the NXT Women’s Championship.
Following her loss, 29-year-old Jacy Jayne took to X, expressing gratitude towards her second title run, which lasted 137 days.
There could be multiple routes planned as far as Jayne’s WWE future is concerned. She may make her main roster appearance following WrestleMania or chase the title for an unprecedented third time.
