The latest SmackDown episode’s events have left a bad taste in Drew McIntyre’s mouth.

On Friday, McIntyre was scheduled to face Jacob Fatu to determine the #1 Contender for Rhodes’ title, possibly at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1.

However, before the match, Fatu was found backstage, attacked, and left bloodied, rendering him unable to compete, by an unknown perpetrator.

The 40-year-old Scottish star walked down to the ring smiling after learning about the assault on his opponent.

While he denied being the attacker, McIntyre told the referee to raise his hand and announce him as the winner and contender for the championship.

This prompted an angry Cody Rhodes to arrive and challenge Drew McIntyre for an impromptu title match, which got sanctioned.

As they fought around the timekeeper’s area, Rhodes hit McIntyre with his title, causing a disqualification.

The American Nightmare then cleared the announcer’s desk with the intent to hit Cross Rhodes on his arch nemesis, but the security staff arrived and prevented any further damage.

Drew McIntyre Rants About Cody Rhodes’ Actions On WWE SmackDown

The Scottish Warrior went on a rant midway through his gym session, accusing Cody Rhodes of costing him another chance at winning the Undisputed WWE Championship.

In a video shared online, Drew McIntyre is seen raging over how things went down on the blue brand, while making some alarming statements.

I didn’t take Jacob [Fatu] out. Our WWE Champion [Cody Rhodes] gives me the match, but then he causes a DQ and takes away another opportunity. I’m sure when I talk about it next week – but right now, people are going to blame me and say I whine. My first reaction was torch his bus – make sure his family weren’t on it – torch his bus! […] I got to keep going, I can’t give up. I won’t give up. I’m a psychopath because I’m in the gym right now, doing legs after yesterday. No sleep whatsoever. And I won’t stop.

Drew McIntyre has vowed to confront Rhodes next week.
