Danhausen’s WWE Future Potentially Revealed
Danhausen’s WWE debut at the Elimination Chamber PLE received mixed reviews from fans.
He was revealed as the promotion’s newest talent when he emerged from the wooden crate that had been transported between Raw and SmackDown for a couple of weeks before both brands’ managers decided to open it together at the Chicago event.
While his debut appearance was underwhelming, fans quite enjoyed his backstage interaction on the following Raw episode with Adam Pearce and members of The Judgment Day.
The segment ended with Danhausen placing a curse on Dominik Mysterio, who lost his Intercontinental Championship to Penta shortly afterward.
What Does Danhausen’s WWE Future Look Like?
As revealed by Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer, Danhausen’s signing received some opposition from a few higher-ups.
Nevertheless, a separate report from Fightful Select noted that there was interest in bringing him to the Stamford promotion.
The 35-year-old was previously signed to All Elite Wrestling. After not getting much TV time in AEW, he requested his release, but the company officials extended his contract to 2026 by adding his injury time from 2023.
As a result, his contract ended with the Jacksonville promotion on February 28, 2026, the same day as the Elimination Chamber.
It has also been revealed that the character will continue appearing in his original form without any need for repackaging.
Another AEW superstar who joined WWE in 2026, Powerhouse Hobbs, was repackaged as Royce Keys when he made his first appearance at the Royal Rumble in January.
Keys has yet to make is debut on either Raw or SmackDown.
